Plume Network , a full-stack RWAfi chain building team, today announced the appointment of B. Salman Banaei as its new General Counsel. In this role, Mr. Banaei will lead the development of legal, policy and compliance strategies to help Plume expand its real-world asset (RWAs) service network on open blockchain infrastructure in partnership with more than 180 institutions, including Apollo Global Management, Goldfinch (whose platform provides Plume Network participants with access to private credit funds managed by Ares Capital Management, Golub Capital and KKR), Invesco, Superstate, UBS and other institutional asset management companies, as well as well-known institutions such as Ondo Finance, Paypal, Paxos, etc.
“Salman’s expertise in shaping regulatory policy at the intersection of DeFi and TradFi makes him the ideal person to lead Plume as the financial services industry’s preferred partner for RWA tokenization and market expansion,” said Chris Yin, CEO and co-founder of Plume. “His distinguished track record within financial regulation and the industry in the U.S. and globally will be critical as tokenized assets become further integrated into the financial system.”
Mr. Banaei has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He previously worked at the U.S. Securities and Menukarkan Commission (SEC) as a senior special counsel, responsible for regulating national securities exchanges, alternative trading systems, and securities-based swap execution facilities, while providing legal and policy advice on digital assets and encryption. Prior to joining the SEC, Salman served as Assistant General Counsel and Director of Policy at Uniswap Labs, and held similar positions at Chainalysis and IHS Markit (now SP Global), where he served as head of the blockchain department and led the development of enterprise-level blockchain-based leveraged loan and carbon market applications.
“The maturity of the open blockchain technology stack has reached a stage where institutions and increasingly policymakers can no longer deny its potential. More importantly, the potential of this technology to support the development of the real economy has been proven through Plume’s many projects,” said Banaei.
Salman has worked at the SEC and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and has participated in promoting the implementation of the Dodd-Frank Act derivatives market reform after the 2008 global financial crisis. He has experience in top-level financial regulatory policy making. In addition, he has nearly ten years of experience in consulting leading TradFi and DeFi companies. With these experiences, Salman will bring to Plume the expertise to integrate the technical and regulatory architecture of TradFi and DeFi.
“Although Plume was founded by an American team, we have been held back from entering the U.S. market due to its unreasonable skepticism, bordering on hostility, toward new technologies. At Plume, we are building a globally scalable financial system that uses technology to enable automation, autonomy, low friction, open access, and transparency. It is wise policy to leverage these characteristics to create better outcomes for the public. I look forward to working with forward-thinking policymakers to establish compliant pathways for the benefits of tokenization to reach the U.S. and global markets,” Banaei concluded.

Distributed Price Oracle When consumers request oracle services, the oracle may not respond in time for various reasons, resulting in a single point of failure. Therefore, ChainLink uses a distributed price oracle design to provide services to users. For example, a service that provides BTC USD prices aggregates 31 price oracles to provide services to users. The contract source code of the aggregator can be viewed on Etherscan: https://etherscan.io/address/0xae74faa92cb67a95ebcab07358bc222e33a34da7#readContract Among them, by calling the transmitters method in the contract, you can view all the off-chain oracles contained in the aggregator. Each off-chain oracle can provide price data by calling the transmit method in response to the request of the user in the aggregator. These off-chain oracles are some EOA accounts, which not only provide price data for the BTC/USD aggregator,…
